Three years of waiting, watering, weather-protecting and for what? One night only of wonder – because words get in the way.
I’m fascinated by all things digital – and it’s become central to my personal, professional and business life.
I’m a business strategist and product leader with a background in web development, product management, UX, e-commerce and content strategy. Beyond the desk, I have other roles: spouse, GLBT advocate, mentor, men’s health promoter, freelance consultant, writer, and curious observer & commentator on the state of the world.
I think technology can open hearts & minds as well as opportunities to achieve a more satisfying life and future – and that’s why I do what I do.
This site is my digital commonplace book — a space to offer products & services, yes, but also to share reflections, express thoughts & opinions, and document moments in life’s journey.
I started it to share life & work lessons, share a few doubts, amplify meaningful questions, and document the patterns I see across different spheres of life. It’s part professional journal, part creative sandbox, part personal history.
I’ve worked across startup, non-profit and enterprise environments, as an individual contributor on digital products from concept through launch and operations.
My experience spans SaaS, telecom, e-commerce, and content platforms, with a focus on user experience, leadership and consensus, and outcome-driven strategy.
Clarity, integrity, empathy, and usefulness. Whether I’m designing a workflow, writing a post, or mentoring a creator or team, I’m guided by the belief that thoughtful digital work can improve how people live, work, and connect.
I read widely (books, blogs, research, email newsletters), collect images, quotes and ideas, and keep a lot (too many?) written notes and magazine articles.
My guilty pleasure is YouTube for the sheer volume & variety of channels of news, social trends, health & fitness, music, and humor. Just as important is what I limit: social media and TV.
I also learn a lot from side projects, conversations with peers, and stepping away from screens to enjoy nature, art, and travel to refresh my soul and reset my brain.
I’m adept in WordPress (using Elementor Pro as the design layer), Sitecore, Figma, Notion, Google Workplace, and several Analytics tools.
I use Flipboard & Meco among other apps to manage my content consumption.
I am also leaning more and more on AI tools for brainstorming and automation, and I love testing – and implementing – productivity systems like PARA and OKRs. And use Apple to pull it all together.
Mango Digital is a web publisher focused on creating branded media properties as well as brand solutions for clients.
This site is my personal platform where I can offer my skills to individuals & businesses for freelance projects as well as a place to collect and share ideas, opinions, freelance services, and resources. It’s part portfolio, part blog, and part shop.
